Book Review: The Wonder Garden

The Wonder Garden, by Jenny Broom; illustrated by Kristjana S. Williams

Juvenile Nonfiction

The Wonder Garden, by Jenny Broom & Kristjana S. Williams

When I saw the cover, I knew this would be a book I had to take home and pour over every inch of to fully soak up the beauty within its covers. Awe-inspiring, vividly color-drenched illustrations fill each page of this over-sized wonderland of knowledge.

Originally published in the United Kingdom, the book features five habitats: the Amazon Rain Forest, the Great Barrier Reef, the Chihuahuan Desert, the Black Forest, and the Himalayan Mountains. Each region has seven to eight pages dedicated to it, allowing the author and illustrator to characterize the areas and introduce various species found there within.

The book also contains a helpful index to make finding information more easy and includes additional websites one can visit to learn more about these amazing habitats and the animals that call them home.

Readers of all ages will be spellbound by the information and illustrations.
