COMMUNITY OUTREACH
FUNDRAISING
We enhance and promote the library's services, staff and resources.
We help to create a place where all people are free to read, learn, connect and grow.
We raise funds to pay for special library projects, programs, author visits and events.
WHO WE ARE
We're a non-profit group run by Lewis County community members since 1982.
Our mission is to enhance and promote our library’s services, staff and resources by raising and managing funds for use by the Vernetta Smith Chehalis Timberland Library.

Marilynn grew up in the Seattle area and graduated from Central Washington University. After serving in the Peace Corps as a science teacher in Sierra Leone, West Africa, she returned to WA and began a 28-year career teaching middle school science in Toledo. During those years, she and her husband raised their family of three children. Marilynn is passionate about learning and believes Learning + Books + Community = Library. Her favorite books include Roots, Stiff and Into Thin Air.
Brian works for the Office of Secretary of State in Olympia. Born and raised in Chehalis, he returned to the community in 2000 with his wife, Sheryl, to raise their three sons and one daughter. He currently serves on the Timberland Regional Library's Board of Trustees and coaches his daughter's recreational soccer team. In addition to reading, Brian enjoys bicycling, hiking and listening to music. His favorite books include Undaunted Courage, Ghost Rider and The Presidents Club.
Eva Myrick is a retired LPN, mother of two daughters and grandmother to one granddaughter and one grandson. She currently volunteers at the Twin City Senior Center as well as with the FOCL, enjoys traveling and has a cat named Precious who chose to live with her in 2015. In addition to reading, Evan enjoys gardening, bird watching and raising chickens on her small farm on Newaukum Hill. Westerns are some of her favorite books because of their avid descriptions of landscape and history.
BUSINESS PARTNERS
The Friends of the Chehalis Library (FOCL) partner with Lewis County businesses to help the Vernetta Smith Chehalis Timberland Library provide quality programs and events to the greater Chehalis community.

Business partnerships are paid for once annually, and our business partners enjoy having their businesses listed as supporters on our materials and in our Friends' Corner Book Sale in the Chehalis Library.
