Library Refresh
For the past month, the Chehalis Library has been refreshing its space in an effort to make the collection more accessible.
Many books have been moved off the lowest shelves, and the adult fiction section now employs "Bookstore-style" shelving, which separates books out by genre. The Large Print section, meanwhile, has been relocated to the back of the library and includes a table where patrons can sit and peruse books.
The teen and juvenile sections have been similarly updated. A new shelving scheme is in place in both the fiction and non-fiction portions of the juvenile area. And additional toys and family space are now available by the picture books as well as a floating shelf of new books in the teen area.
Computers have moved to slightly different locations as well, though the same number are still available.
Signage will be updated once the Refresh is over, so if you are having trouble finding something, be sure to ask a librarian for help. And enjoy exploring our wonderfully Refreshed library!
